New Work: CNLA Copa Toon Style Guide 2011

2011 brought about a new design relationship with our good friends at Cartoon Network Latin America. We kicked things off with a style guide for their Copa Toon (Futbol or American Soccer) program developing design elements, and setting the look and feel for the on and off-air executions. We even got to design a trophy which will be produced in Brazil! While we won’t see much of the program in actual use since a majority of it will be used throughout Latin America, we’re excited to see it virtually as it gets produced and rolls in. Some samples of elements we designed are included to the right and below. We’ll be sure to post actual pictures when we get them.

Here is the result of today’s #TwiFriDoodle session. No requests today, but I was offsite and used the iPad/Sketchbook Pro. It took significantly longer since I was using my finger to draw. Next time I’ll use the stylus, and see what happens. How many of you have used a stylus with the iPad? Which ones would you recommend?

Here are the results of today’s live Twitter doodle session, I have included the original tweet requests with the images. There were some great (and challenging) requests; today was a fun session!

I sincerely appreciate all the follower participation, I was so busy drawing requests that I didn’t have to fire up the Decide-o-Matic 3000.

Today marked the announcement and use of the secret and proprietary Decide-O-Matic3000® during today’s live drawing session on Twitter. It was responsible for powering the requests for both live sketches as there were no participants today. However, the two SKetch Request Output Units (SKROU’s) were equally challenging and yielded some fun results. The first SKROU was “burn refresh”; the second was “instant mummy”. Fire cocktails & Mummy seeds… I think there’s something there…

I will be conducting the #TWIFRIDOODLE sessions every Friday at 9AM.

I will be kicking off the shop officially by selling the Venkman and Deadly Pair as giclee art prints in 9×12 on acid-free art paper. Both prints will have a 1/2″ border so the total size will be 10×13. I will be selling them for $35 plus shipping and handling.
